UPSC is going to conduct the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination on April 10, 2022. The admit card for the CDS examination 2022 has already been released on the recruitment portal of UPSC at upsconline.in. Candidates who are appearing for the CDS exam can download their admit cards by entering their login credentials such as registration number or roll number and date of birth. Before the examination, candidates must note all the instructions and prerequisites as detailed on the hall ticket.
Things to carry to Exam Center
While appearing for the CDS 1 2022 candidates are required to carry the following items to the exam center.
- CDS Admit Card
- Photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, Driving license, passport, Voter Card.
- Three recent passport-sized photographs.
- Black ballpoint pen, hand sanitizer, face masks, gloves.
- Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators or smartwatches are prohibited.
Exam day instructions
Following are the instructions released by UPSC for the CDS examination.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry items other than the specified articles. Articles such as books, notes, electronic gadgets, food items, log tables are banned to carry inside the articles.
- Candidates must mark the answers with a black ballpoint pen.
- It is mandatory for candidates to wear face mask and carry a bottle of hand sanitizer.
- There will be negative marking for wrong answers. For each wrong answer 0.33 marks will be deducted.
- Candidates are advised to reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. The exam venue will be closed 10 minutes prior to the conduct of the exam.
CDS 1 2022 Dress Code
Applicants must also take note of the dress code that falls under the criteria when going to the exam center.
- Any kind of jewelry or ornaments is not allowed inside the exam hall.
- Designer and artificial products are not allowed inside the premises.
- Candidates are refrained from wearing layered clothes. Candidates must wear a single piece of clothing.
- Electronic gadgets such as smartwatches are not allowed to wear.
- Bags are prohibited to be carried inside the exam venue.
CDS 1 2022 Exam Timings
The examination for CDS 1 2022 is going to be conducted on April 10, 2022. As per the schedule released by UPSC, the examination will be held in three shifts. The English paper will be conducted from 9 am to 11 am, paper for general knowledge will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm. The time for Mathematics is 3 pm to 5 pm. So the duration of the examination is 2 hours for each subject. Candidates are advised to reach the examination center 30 minutes before the exam timing. Candidates must note that the venue will be closed 10 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
