Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has issued two important public notices on the official website ccsuniversity.ac.in. The first notice is pertaining to new dates for the practical special exams, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The second notice, however, is related to an extension in the schedule for filling-up the online application form. Additionally, due to the rapid increase in daily coronavirus infections, the university has issued certain guidelines as a precautionary measure. Here’s all there is to know!
CCS University Practical Special Exam
As per the public notice issued by CCS University, the theoretical component of special exams was conducted through the pen-and-paper format in November 2021. Thereafter, the practical component was scheduled from January 01 to 15, 2022. However, as per the new guidelines issued by the state government of Uttar Pradesh on the closure of schools and universities till January 23, 2022. So, conducting practical exams during this period becomes risky and impractical.
Against the background, CCS university has informed that the practical special exam has been postponed till further orders. The university will announce new dates once the state government opens educational institutions for offline activities. An announcement regarding the new schedule will be made on the official portal.
CCS University Semester Exam Form Extension
Initially, CCS University had decided on conducting the semester exam application process from December 31, 2021, to January 10, 2022. The application deadline was extended to January 17, 2022, giving candidates a week extra to submit their online applications. However, some students are yet to apply for the exam. So, keeping such students in mind, the registration deadline has been extended yet again, to January 24, 2022. This gives candidates an extra 5-6 days to complete the online application process.

CCS University COVID-19 Guidelines
Several states in India are experiencing a surge in daily COVID-19 infections, compelling the respective state governments to impose local restrictions and curfews. While online education has again gained momentum in Uttar Pradesh, teachers and the administrative staff have been allowed to work from schools/universities. In light of this development, CCS university recently issued certain COVID-19 guidelines.

# All lectures or classes will be conducted through the offline mode starting January 17, 2022. No student will be allowed to attend lectures through the offline mode, till further notice.
# While students have to continue their education online, it is mandatory for teachers to remain present in the university, as and when required.
# In order to maintain a 50% faculty and non-faculty count, schools have been advised to create a roaster for each member. Moreover, institutes are advised to call only those members whose assistance is needed. Rest can continue their work from home.
# It is mandatory for all staff members to maintain social distancing at all times. Furthermore, for assistance to students, staff members, and parents, a COVID-19 help desk must also be established.
