Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has today, September 18, 2021, announced the exam dates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021. According to the official notification, interested candidates can apply for the eligibility test from Monday, September 20, 2021. The application form will be made available on the official website ctet.nic.in on the assigned date. The eligibility test is scheduled to be conducted from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022. CTET 2021 Information Brochure, Exam Pattern, and More
# According to the official notification released by the central education board, the CTET 2021 information brochure is going to release on the date of commencement of registration i.e., September 20, 2021. This brochure will all the information pertaining to the application process, exam pattern, fee details, selection process, eligibility criteria, and detailed schedule.
Before filling the application form, candidates are advised to go through the CTET 2021 information brochure. Rumour has it that this year’s eligibility test will be based on a different exam pattern. More details on this aspect are expected to come out in the brochure itself. Hence, candidates must read thoroughly through the brochure to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
# While filling the CTET 2021 application form, candidates have to pay a certain amount as application fee. Following are the category-based fee details –

# While the pattern may slightly change this year, one thing’s for sure – the CTET 2021 examination will be held through the computer-based format. Since this is a national-level eligibility exam, students of different areas and dialects will be giving the exam. For their convenience, the question paper will be available in 20 languages, including English and Hindi.
The eligibility test will be divided into two parts – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will be dedicated to candidates who are interested in teaching Class 1 to 6. On the other hand, Paper II is meant for those who are inclined towards teaching the remaining or higher standards.
# Till last year, the CTET paper was straightforward and factual, testing a candidate’s knowledge base more than conceptual clarity. This factor is expected to change in the 2021 examination. The paper is expected to contain more conceptual-based questions. Ultimately, the intention is to test a candidate’s critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
