The much-awaited announcement for the CBSE board exam dates 20201 has been made. In a live webinar held on December 31, 2020, the Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the exam dates for CBSE 10th and 12th. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the board exams from May 4 to June 10, 2021. The practical exams will start from March 1 and along with the exam date, he also announced that the board shall declare the result by July 15, 2021.

Mr. Pokhriyal has been conducted these live sessions with the parents, students, and teachers to answer their queries and concerns about the upcoming board examination. Few points as cleared by the Education minister have been as follows – The board exams will be not be canceled under any circumstances, the exams are going to be held in offline mode as not all students have access to the internet for online tests. The practical exams are conducted in the school laboratories, however, many students had concern that no enough practicals were conducted in the school, hence, the board authorities shall look for different alternatives.
It has been observed that CBSE date sheet is usually released 50 to 60 days before the commencement of the examination. The Education Minister on December 22, confirmed that the exams will not be conducted in January or February. Soon, after the announcement made by the Education Minister, many experts had an opinion that board may allow practical examinations from March and start the theory examination from mid-April. But now, all these speculations are put to an end as the CBSE final exam dates 2021 has been announced.
CBSE date sheet 2021 can be downloaded at the board’s official website – cbse.nic.in. On the homepage of the website, under the Announcements section, students need to click on the link of the date sheet for their respective classes. After this, the students can check the exam schedule and download the date sheet pdf on their device.
Earlier, the board also reduced the examination syllabus by 30% from the previous year’s syllabus. This year, the academic session a bit late due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Amid the lockdown, classes were started online, however, students from class 9th onwards were allowed to visit the school voluntarily, with a written consent of their parents, from September 21.
In the year 2020, around 12 lakh student appeared for CBSE class 12 exams and 18 lakh students appeared for CBSE 10th board exam. However, due to the rising cases in COVID-19 in March, some papers were cancelled. Students were evaluated based on the new assessment scheme and their results were declared in the month of July.
