Today, Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. to 02:30 p.m., the CAT 2021 slot 2 test was held by IIM Ahmedabad. The exam was rated as moderate by the test takers as well as CAT experts. Coaching centers from across the nation have already come up with their analysis and review of the exam. Soon, they will also release CAT 2021 slot 2 answer key.
Popular CAT coaching – CATKing – said that the slot 2 paper was slightly easier than the slot 1 paper. The CATKing Director Mr Gandhi said that the VA section was comparatively on the easier side and other sections were the same as the predicted trends. CATKing also said that unlike slot 1, DILR was quite easy in this slot, and pupils had no trouble answering the questions. The reading comprehension component in VARC was extensive, including four paragraphs. British Colonies – India’s Reaction, Truth & Power, Knowledge, and Languages were the topics/themes.
Similarly IMS India team reviewed the paper and concluded on similar lines. Experts from IMS India said the examinations were manageable and not quite as difficult as those scheduled for 2020. According to the students, the DILR component was time-consuming and extensive, but the VARC section was more inference-based. The experts believe that CAT 2021 examined students on their speed, logic, and analytical skills and that a devout student who prepared thoroughly for the ideas and practised mocks would be admitted to the IIMs. CAT also assessed pupils’ real knowledge rather than relying on guessing. The decrease in questions allowed students to better use their time and avoid a problem.
The CK CETKing reviews for the CAT 2021 slot 2 paper were positive. They said that the paper was of easy to moderate level for someone who has prepared well for the exam. The paper was balanced and had all the topics covered. The VA section was easy but there might be some questions of RC which students might have faced difficulties in reading and comprehending. The experts at CETKING also added that a a score of 100 can make a student reach 99%tile target.
Career Launcher experts, Mr Shiva Kumar(IIM-C Alum, CAT Taker For 20+ Years) and Mr. Gautam Puri (IIM-B Alum, CAT Taker For 25+ Years) have taken the CAT 2021 Slot 2 paper. The experts have an alumni status of IIMs and have again praised the CAT paper. They said that the paper was no different from the slot 1 paper in terms of content and competitiveness. They added that a candidate who might have prepared well for Quant will definitely ace the CAT 2021 and can get a good overall score. The two experts have rated the paper to be of a Moderate level and have predicted that a score between 97-105 may fetch 99%tile to the aspirants.
CAT 2021 Slot 2 Answer Key
Ever since the slot 2 concluded, MBA aspirants have been looking for the answer key. It may be noted that the exam was a computer based test, and candidates do not get any hard copy of the question paper to take with them after exam. Nevertheless, coaching centers publish memory based CAT answer keys a few hours after exam. And later, IIM Ahmedabad will release question paper and answer key. For slot 2, memory based question paper and answer key will be published shortly.
Going by past records, it is anticipated that the CAT 2021 slot 2 answer key should be available after 6:30 pm, i.e. after the last slot ends. Most coaching centers and educators will release question paper and answer key by tonight.
