Border Roads Organization (BRO) has recently updated the examination dates for Cook and Vehicle Mechanic post advertised against Advertisement No. 01/2019. As per the notice, the written examination for the aforementioned posts will take place on November 01, 2020 at 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM. Aspirants appearing for the examination can get the notice from the official website of BRO, bro.gov.in.
The examination dates are announced by Border Roads Organization to re-commence the recruitment process as the exam was on hold due to COVID-19. However, BRO has recently published a notice announcing the examination dates for all the caste categories.
Moreover, the call letters are already sent by Border Roads Organisation through registered post to the postal address of candidates (as provided in the application form). It is advised to stay in touch with the local postal authorities to get the admit card for BRO recruitment 2020.
In the view of COVID-19, candidates have to abide by the COVID-19 protocol as laid down by the government to India to avoid the spread of coronavirus. Candidates have to wear the face mask, hand gloves and carry small hand sanitizer of 50 ml preferable, admit card, aadhar card and other documents as mentioned in the admit card. It is important for aspirants to maintain social distancing when entering the examination hall.
As per the notification, the examination will take place at various locations in the country in a decentralized manner due to COVID-19. Several examination centres will be considered to conduct the examination to adhere to the COVID-19 protocol, social distancing norms and safety precautions. The centres that are designated are as follows – GREF Centre, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Pathankot, Siliguri, Chandigarh and Guwahati.
Border Roads Organization has ensured that the nearest examination centres are allocated to candidates so that they do not have to face any hassles. However, if candidates wish to change their examination centre, they can apply for the same to the GREF Centre. For this, candidates have to send an application at 020-27171231 (FAX) or through email – [email protected]. The application should reach the conducting body before the last date which is October 25, 2020. Candidates also have to provide their mobile number and email address to the conducting to receive any update. No application related to the change of the examination centre will be accepted after October 25, 2020.
The written examination for Cook and Vehicle Mechanic is conducted for 289 vacancies. Out of these vacancies 92 are advertised for Vehicle Mechanic and 197 for Muti Skilled Worker Cook. The following posts will be filled in General Reserve Engineer Force (BRO) by Indian male candidates only.
