Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) successfully conducted the Sub Inspector (SI) 2022 mains exam on April 24, 2022. The mains exam was held successfully at selected centres across the country. All those who qualify the mains stage will be asked to appear for the Physical Endurance Test (PET). As per official information, this test is planned from May 05 to 09, 2022. This clearly implies that the mains exam result will be announced soon, on the official website bpssc.bih.nic.in.
To qualify the BPSSC SI 2022 main exam, candidates need to score equal to or above their category cut-off. This cut-off will be announced at the time of result announcement. So, right now, this figure is a mystery for candidates. However, they can refer to past-year cut-offs to determine a tentative range of marks out of 200 to clear the second stage.
The BPSSC SI 2022 recruitment drive comprises of three distinct stages – 1. Preliminary written exam, 2. Mains written exam and 3. Physical Endurance Test (PET). All three stages are qualifying in nature, i.e., candidates need to qualify one stage to be eligible for the next.
No BPSSC SI Mains Exam in 2020 & 2021
The last BPSSC SI recruitment drive began in 2019 and got extended for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the 2019 recruitment drive, mains exam was scheduled in April 2020. However, after multiple postponements, the test was finally conducted on November 29, 2020. Result for this session was declared two months later, on January 16, 2021. PET for the 2019 recruitment drive was held on March 15, 2021. This session finally came to an end on June 17, 2021.
The BPSSC SI 2021 recruitment drive commenced in the month of December, last year. So, for the mains stage, candidates can only look at the 2019 recruitment drive to predict their cut-offs.
BPSSC SI Mains 2019 Cut-Off
In addition to category-wise figures, the cut-off marks are also decided for each gender – male and female. Usually, for each category, the gender-based cut-offs differ by 30-40 marks, as evident in case of the BPSSC 2019 mains exam. To predict this year’s cut-offs, candidates can determine arrange by adding and subtracting 10 marks from the 2019 figures. Going by this logic, the general category cut-off range will be 141.6-161.6 for male and 113.8-133.8 for female.
