The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has released the Assam CEE Application form on the official website i.e. astu.ac.in. As per the official brochure, the application form will be available till August 02, 2021, starting from July 14, 2021. The examination is tentatively scheduled for August 29, 2021, from 11 am to 2 pm, while the admit card will be out at least 15 days before the exam. Along with this, the result of the test will be declared at least 10 days after the completion of the examination. The candidates who successfully clear the CEE exam will get the opportunity to apply to different Engineering Colleges of Assam.
The basic eligibility for the candidates applying to the Assam CEE Exam is being in the age limit of 17-21 years as of August 01, 2021. The candidate should be a permanent domicile of Assam and he should have passed the qualifying exam with 50% aggregate marks in PCM and English for General candidates. While the qualifying mark for the candidates belonging to the SC category is 45% and 40% for the ST category candidates.
The Assam CEE Application form 2021 has also been released on the official website of the University. Eligible candidates can visit the official portal of the University to fill the same. The students must click on the link of the CEE Online Application form and thereafter they are required to Register themselves. The registration form requires the Candidate’s Name, Mobile Number, Email Id, and Password. Post this, the main application form will open wherein the candidates have to mention all other details i.e. Parent’s Name, Domicile, Address, Educational Qualifications, Test centre name etc.
Along with this, the candidates are also required to upload the candidate’s photograph and signature in the scanned form. The scanned document should be in the form of a JPEG/JPG file. The size of the photograph must not be less than 35 kb while the size of the signature should be in the range of 15-20 kb. In the end, an application fee of Rs 750 has to be paid via an online payment channel i.e. Debit Credit/Credit Card/Net Banking. Finally, the candidates should download and keep a copy of the Application form.
The Assam CEE is an offline entrance test conducted in pen and paper mode. There will be a total of 120 questions from all three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths wherein each section will have 40 questions. The candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. The duration of completing the test will be 3 hours.
