Xavier Labor Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, had released the application form for XAT 2020 online at xatonline.in on August 23, 2019. Last date to submit the XAT 2020 application form without late fee is today, November 30, 2019 till 12 midnight. After this deadline, candidates will still be able to apply for the MBA entrance exam albeit with late fee charges. The window to submit the application form with late fee is from December 01-07, 2019.
XAT exam is going to be conducted on January 05, 2020.
The application fee for XAT 2020 is Rs. 1700 and to apply for XLRI programme, candidates need to pay Rs. 300. However, if candidates submit the application form after the last date, then they need to pay application fee with late of Rs. 2000 and Rs. 500 to apply for admission in their choice of XLRI programme(s). Applicants need to make the payment through online mode using credit card/ debit card/ online banking and net banking.
To apply for XAT 2020, candidates need to visit the official website at xatonline.in. On the homepage of the website, click on the “Register” button. At the time of registration, candidates should select if they wish to apply through XAT or GMAT score and then fill in their basic information. It is to be noted that the name and date of birth of the candidate should be same as it appears in 10th standard/ equivalent exam.
After the candidates have successfully registered for the exam, they will receive their login details at their registered email id and mobile number. Next, proceed to fill in details in the XAT 2020 application form by providing personal details, academic requirements, uploading images, etc. Finally pay the required amount of the application fee and submit the application form.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, however, the eligibility for applying for different courses may differ. Those who are currently in their final year in the Bachelor’s degree can also apply for XAT 2020.
The entrance exam for XAT is of 03 hours duration and consist of questions in English language only. There are 04 sections in XAT paper and consist of 99 MCQ type questions. Part 1 consist of questions from Verbal and Logical Ability (26 questions), Decision Making (21 questions), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (27 questions) and in Part 2, there are 25 questions from General Knowledge. As far as the marking scheme is concerned, for a correct answer, candidates will get 01 marks for a correct answer, and for every wrong answer 0.25 and 0.10 marks are deducted for unattempted question beyond 8.
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)-2020 is conducted in the online mode at all India level. The score for XAT is used by more than 150 institutes for the admission. Candidates are offered admission in PGDM (BM), PGDM (HRM), PGDM GMP, and FPM programmes. Candidates may apply for more than one programme through a single application. Those who will apply for more than one programme shall be called for multiple interviews and/or group discussions.
