XAT 2019 Update Test City Preference

Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), the exam conducting body for XAT 2019 has recently released the notification for the change in test city preference. Candidates who have filled the wrong city or want to change the preferred test city, now have the opportunity to update the same. The facility to change the exam city is available until November 30, 2018.

Important Points to Note

#1. There is no fee to update the exam city.
#2. Request for change until 30 nov.
#3. Students will get only 1 chance to update the test city
#4. Candidates can select XLRI courses by paying the fee via DD

In order to update the exam city, candidates have to mail at [email protected]. In there, it is necessary to mention XAT Id, DOB, Father’s Name, Chosen City and the New Preferred city. Importantly, applicants can request for the change only once. The allocation of test city/exam centre totally depends on the decision of XLRI. There is a possibility that students get the exam centre out of the city preferred by them.

The facility to change the test city is available via Email mode only. Earlier, there was no provision to update the exam city once the XAT 2019 Fee is paid. Now, this opportunity is available to students who have already submitted the application form. Other applicants can make the number of changes until the submission of exam fee.

Apart from Test City change notification, XLRI has also released the notice to pay the programme fee for the institute via Demand Draft. In simple terms, XAT includes two fees, first is the exam fee and the second fee is applicable for candidates who are interested in XLRI programmes. The exam fee is Rs 1700/- per applicant and additional Rs 300/- per course of XLRI. Late entrants have to pay a fee of Rs 2000/-  with Rs 500/-  for each XLRI course.

It is an opportunity for those candidates who have paid the fees but wish to apply for the XLRI programme. Also, candidates who want to add more programme can pay the additional fee via Demand Draft. It is not compulsory to apply for XLRI courses. Students who are particularly interested in admission to XLRI must apply for these courses. Without it, the institute will not consider the student’s candidature for the selection process. Applicants who will apply for only XAT will able to participate in 150+ B-schools accepting the exam scores.

In total there are 4 programmes offered by the institute. It comprises Business Management (BM), Human Resource Management (HRM), General Management Programme (GMP requires minimum 56 months work experience), and Fellow Programme in Management (FPM).

XAT 2019 will take place on January 06, 2019, for admission to the academic year 2019-21. From this year, XAt will not have an Essay Writing section. It will be a computer-based test having the multiple choice questions to be attempted in 3 hours.
