The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 Session 1 is all set to be conducted from June 20 to 29, 2022. Admit cards for this session are likely to come out soon, preferably in the second week of June 2022. However, prior to admit card, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be releasing another document – JEE Main 2022 exam city intimation. The intimation will be releasing online, on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, the agency is yet to announce the dates for release of both admit card and exam city intimation.
As per the JEE Main 2022 information brochure, the national-level entrance exam is going to be conducted across 514 cities – 501 located within India and 13 located outside.
What is JEE Main 2022 Exam City Intimation?
In simple terms, exam city intimation is a document which specifies the city, centre name and address allotted to the respective candidate. During the JEE Main 2022 session 1 application process, candidates had to opt for four preferred exam cities.
On the basis of seats available in each city and number of candidates opting for the same, a particular exam city and centre shall be allotted to each candidate. This allotment will be informed through the JEE Main 2022 exam city intimation.
It is important to note that the JEE Main 2022 exam city intimation is different from the admit card. Furthermore, both documents will be issued separately, on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.
To download the JEE Main 2022 exam city intimation, a candidate must visit the official website and click on the download link. A login window will open in a new tab. To access the document, candidates must key-in the required credentials including Registration Number and Date of Birth. When the intimation appears on the screen, candidates are advised to take a screenshot of the same for future reference.
JEE Main 2022 Exam City Intimation Release Date
Initially, the JEE Main 2022 session 1 registration was scheduled from March 01 to 31, 2022. Thereafter, the announcement of exam city was schedule to come out in the first week of April 2022. Following this, admit cards were to be issued in the second week of same month. Session 1 would then be held from April 16 to 21, 2022.
As per the revised JEE Main 2022 schedule, session 1 is all set to be conducted on June 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2022. Taking the previous schedule into reference, the exam city intimation is likely to come out this week, preferably by June 07, 2022. The JEE Main 2022 session 2 admit card is likely to release in the second week of June 2022.
