The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) result 2021 was announced today, May 30, 2022, and Shruti Sharma from Jamia Milia islamia (JMI) came out on top by securing All India Rank (AIR) 1. When asked about her preparation, Sharma responded that she owed all her success to Jamia RCA. Interestingly, a total of 23 candidates from the same coaching institute have cleared the UPSC Civil Services examination 2021. After the results, future aspirants are wondering about Jamia RCA. Jamia RCA 2022 Free Coaching
The Jamia Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) comes under the ambit of JMI and provides free coaching to selected students. Offering dedicated assistance for UPSC Civil Services(Preliminary and Mains) exam, Jamia RCA is limited to SC, ST and female candidates.
To access this facility, eligible candidates need to fill-up the Jamia RCA form and clear the entrance exam hosted by the institute. This year’;s exam is scheduled across 10 cities, namely Patna, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Jammu, Srinagar, Lucknow, Hyderabad and Malappuram.
In addition to an entrance exam, the selection process will also include an interview round for qualified candidates. The final result will be based on overall performance of candidates in both stages.
The Jamia RCA coaching shall comprise of lectures on General Studies, selected optional papers as well as Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). Mock tests, evaluation of responses and essay writing practice will also be included in the free coaching curriculum. Those who clear the Mains stage can avail mock interview rounds conducted by the academy.

Jamia RCA 2022 Past-year Performance
In 2020, a total of 20 students from Jamia RCA had cleared the UPSC recruitment process. Mains exam held in the same year was cleared by 34 students from JMI’s coaching institute. In 2019, as many as 34 students had cleared the recruitment exam.
It does not come as a surprise that candidates from Jamia RCA are clearing the UPSC Civil Services exam. However, what is unprecedented is what Shruti did i.e., achieved AIR 1 by receiving assistance and help from the institute.
Ranks achieved by Jamia RCA Alumni 2021
in addition to Sharma, no other candidate from Jamia RCA has achieved a spot in the top 100 list. While two candidates are ranked between 100-200, two others have achieved a spot within the 200-300 range. Six students have secured ranks between 300-400 while five have achieved a rank in the 400-500 range. Additionally, five students from the coaching institute are placed within the 500-600 range.
