Today, Public Service Commission of West Bengal has released the WBCS prelims admit card at pscwbonline.gov.in on January 22, 2019. The admit card has been issued for the preliminary examination to be held on February 09, 2019. The candidates who have enrolled their names for the competitive exam within due dates can download the admit card now. The Commission has provided two options to retrieve the admit card, either a candidate can use the enrollment number and date of Birth or can provide first name and date of birth together.
Earlier the preliminary examination was supposed to hold on January 20, 2019, but later the examination has been rescheduled. Now the candidates have to appear for the examination on new examination dates.
The admit card of West Bengal Civil Services exam is containing the essential details of candidates, so the Commission has made it mandatory to carry the admit card in the examination hall. However, to certify genuinely the candidates have to produce a certificate, issued by Govt. of India, bearing their photo on it this could be any of Voter Id card, Bank Passbook, PAN card, passport, Driving License, Madyamik certificate, Aadhaar card etc. Along with a certificate, the candidates have to carry two passport size photograph in the examination hall.
In case any candidates find a discrepancy on their hall ticket then they should contact the Commission in an immediate manner. To resolve the candidate’s problem the Commission has provided the helpdesk numbers. The candidates are allowed to call anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m on 9836219994, 9836289994, 9073953820 numbers.
The aspirants have to appear in the examination at reporting time mentioned on hall ticket. The examination will commence at 12:00 PM and will conclude at 02:30 PM. For the examination, the Commission has chosen 20 districts. However, the exact venue of the examination has been notified on the admit card.
The selection of the candidates is based on the preliminary, Mains and personality test. The prelims examination is of objective-based type, which will be held in offline on OMR Sheet. The qualifiers of the prelims have to appear in the main examination.
The main examination is partially objective and partially subjective. Likewise prelims, the qualifiers of the main examination have to appear in a personality test. After each stage of examination, the result will be declared at the official website. The result will be prepared on the basis of cut off marks and performance of the candidates in the examination.
