The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has released online application form of WBJEE 2018 on December 19, 2017. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online by January 19, 2018. Critical points regarding form filling are informed here.

The first state level engineering entrance exam to release its online application form is WBJEE 2018. As per schedule, the online form has been activated today at wbjeeb.nic.in. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination will be held on April 22, 2018, and all the candidates who are looking forward to appear in it must apply first.

Most important thing to note for any applicant is the last date to apply. Last date to fill up online form, and pay fee is January 19, 2018. Thus WBJEE 2018 application form is available for exactly one month. However, a few extra days will be given to download confirmation page. Anyone who has applied and submitted form can download it until January 24, 2018.

WBJEE 2018 is the state level entrance exam for undergraduate courses in engineering and technology, pharmacy, architecture courses in universities, government colleges as well as state financing engineering and technological institutes in West Bengal. It is an offline (OMR based) exam. Candidates need to appear in two papers – I and II. Paper I Mathematics will be held on April 22, 2018, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Paper II Physics and Chemistry is on same date from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM; both are compulsory for all.

Candidates need to apply for WBJEE 2018 in online mode. The steps to apply include undergoing online registration, filling details in application form, uploading scanned photo and signature, payment of exam fee, and ultimately downloading confirmation page. Before one applies, an active email ID and mobile number should be there. Application fee is Rs 500 plus service charges as applicable.

Photo and signature requirements of application form are also important to note before applying. Candidates need to upload scanned photo and signature in JPG / JPEG format. The former needs to be four centimeters by three centimeters, and the latter should be four centimeters by one point five centimeters. Whereas size of photograph can be between ten to hundred kilobytes, size of signature should be between three to thirty kilobytes.

An applicant can pay application fee either in online mode or offline mode. Online mode of fee payment include credit card, debit card, net banking. On the other hand, offline fee payment mode is through challan. Candidates who wish to pay fee offline can download challan (during form filling process) and take it to Allahabad Bank and pay amount in cash.

To make things convenient for students who are more comfortable in Bengali, instructions in Bengali language have also been provided.

Primary registration data such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender and date of birth cannot be changed. However WBJEEB will allow form correction in some other fields in application form. January 26 to 28, 2018 is the time when one can make corrections to application form of WBJEE 2018. This will be facilitated again in online mode only.
