Students taking the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2021 have stated that per question time limit has been imposed on the very last day of the exam. Going by the student’s statement over social media discussion groups, VIT has imposed 40 seconds time cap in Maths and 20 seconds per question time limit in Physics and Chemistry section.
This measure is possibly taken by the varsity to curb the attempts to cheat. Reportedly some of the students have been found indulging in malpractices in the online remote proctored examination of VITEEE 2021. The exam started on May 28. All 4 slots were held successfully on the first day of the exam. However on the second day that is on May 29, 2021, there was some technical difficulty faced in slot 2B, hence this slot was rescheduled for May 30, 2021.

Today, that is May 31 marks the last day of VITEEE. The final slot of the examination will end at 6 pm.
Further, VIT has issued a strong warning statement to all the VITEEE 2021 participants. It has warned the students regarding legal punishments applicable to those indulged in cheating. All student activities record during the online proctored exams will be examined. All those found cheating, that is found taking screenshots of the questions, sharing the questions, referring to books, and using other unfair means can be punished legally.
Also, referring to books and taking held from any person will fall under malpractice, legal actions can be also taken against them. In addition to that, VIT has announced that details of the students found in cheating activities will be shared with UGC and AICTE. This can lead to termination of admission from VIT and debarring from admission to any other institute.

Once the exam is over, the result will be declared at vit.ac.in. This year, the results may also be displayed on the website viteee.codetantra.com. As per the official information available, result will tentatively be announced in the 1st week of June or later. Based on the rank acquired and the availability of seats, aspirants shall be called for the counselling session.
Usually, VIT does not display the scores of the candidates in the exam, but just the ranks. Ranks are based on the marks scored by the candidates in VITEEE 2021. Score of VITEEE will be calculated as per the marking scheme of the exam which is +1 for correct answers and no mars for wrong or unattended questions.
