VITEEE 2020 Application Form Released at vit.ac.in; Exam in 2nd-3rd week of Apr

Admission in various campuses of VIT is done purely on the basis of the ranks secured by the applicant in the VITEEE-2020.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has released the application form for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination 2020 (VITEEE). The application form has been released online at vit.ac.in. It is mandatory for the candidates to appear and qualify in VITEEE for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes.

The window for submitting VITEEE 2020 application form is open till February 29, 2020. Students who wish to appear for VITEEE 2020 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2020 in 10+2/ Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination or high school certificate examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva/ General Certificate Education (GCE) examination at the Advanced (A) level. As per the information provided on the website, NIOS board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE.

Canddiates should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics/ biology in the qualifying exam, whereas, it is 50% in case of SC/ST, candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and North Eastern states.

There is also an age limit criteria for applying for VITEEE 2020. The date of birth of the candidate must fall on or after July 01, 1998.

The application form for VITEEE 2020 is available in both online and offline modes. In order to apply online, the candidates need to visit the official website of VIT that is vit.ac.in, however, candidates can also obtain the Offline (OMR) application form at a cost of Rs.1250/- through the various Post offices in India. To submit the online application form, candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 1150/-.

To apply online, candidates need to register first by providing their name, date of birth, email id, mobile number, etc. Submit the registration details, after which an OTP is sent to the candidate’s registered email id and mobile number for verification. Next, candidates have to log in with the recieved details and proceed to fill in details in the VITEEE 2020 online application. Also, in the application form, students need to upload the scanned image of their photo and signature of file size between 10 kB and 200 kB.

Candidates who select Maths / Physics/ Chemistry / English / Aptitude (MPCEA) are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes. Whereas those who select Biology / Physics/ Chemistry / English / Aptitude (BPCEA) are eligible for Bio stream programmes only. But after joining, it is mandatory for them to register for Mathematics as bridge course.

VITEEE is a common entrance exam conducted for admission in VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP and VIT-Bhopal. Candidates may select specific campus and course during counselling. VITEEE 2020 is going to be held by the 2nd-3rd week of April 2020. The entrance exam is of 02 hours and 30 minutes and is conducted in online mode. The exam will conducted as three session per day. Session I is from 09.00 am to 11.30 am; Session II is from 12.30 pm to 03.00 pm and Session III is from 04.00 pm to 06.30 pm.
