Good News for Vegetarian Hotel Management Students! Only Vegetarian Option Available Now

Registration for NCHM JEE 2021 began on February 2, 2021 and the last date to register for the same is May 10, 2021 up to 5:00 pm.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the National Council of Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) 2021 on June 12, 2021. The exam will be held for admission in B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) course, offered by Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM). However, the big news is that this time National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) is offering only vegetarian option in B.Sc.(HHA) program.

NCHM&CT has clarified that all the NCHMCT affiliated Institutes will now offer absolutely vegetarian B.Sc. (HHA) program from the academic year 2021-22. In the recently released notice, it has been made clear by stating,“In this connection it is clarified that the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology has informed us that only vegetarian option is available in B.Sc.(HHA) program at all the NCHMCT affiliated Institutes to facilitate vegetarian students.”

The primary motive of the reform is to facilitate and support vegetarian students. Authorities further requested candidates to take note of the new reform before filling the application form.

Interested and eligible students can apply for this course during the registration. The online registration for NCHM JEE 2021 is open until May 10, 2021. Candidates can apply for the national-level entrance exam from the official website, nchmjee.nta.nic.in.

NCHM JEE 2021 is scheduled to be conducted in the computer based mode. The examination is of 180 minutes (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) and comprises of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The national-level entrance test shall be organised through the computer-based format. Authorities have also specified the application fee that candidates have to pay depending on their category. General-category and OBC-NCL candidates have to pay Rs.1000 as application fee. Gen-EWS candidates are required to pay Rs.750 for the examination. SC, ST, PwD and Transgender candidates have to pay Rs.450 as application fee for NCHM JEE 2021.

Candidates applying for this exam are advised to go through the information bulletin uploaded by the NTA on the official website nchmjee.nta.nic.in. According to the information bulletin, NTA shall provide the correction facility after the registration process ends. This correction facility can be accessed from May 12 to 16, 2021. Subsequently, NCHM JEE 2021 admit cards shall be made available for downloading. However, the official date has yet to be announced by the authorities.
