The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) is an aptitude examination that determines the eligibility of a candidate to be recruited as PRT (Primary Teachers) or a TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers) in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. There are two levels in it which are denoted as papers. Paper 1 is meant for those who wish to become teachers of Primary Classes i.e. 1st to 5th and Paper 2 must be qualified by those who want to become teachers of Upper Primary Classes i.e. 6th to 8th.
Eligibility for primary classes is that a candidate must have completed graduation from a UGC recognized University. Graduation is must, other than that one of the following is also required that either candidate is pursuing 2nd year of BTC or final year of D.Ed or 2nd year of BTC (Urdu) or final year of Diploma in Teaching (D.Ed) from AMU, 50% marks in Intermediate and studying B.EL.ED. Eligibility for upper primary class is that a candidate must have scored 50% at Graduation/Post graduation level from a UGC recognized University. Along with that one of the following is mandatory either pursuing 2nd year of BTC, or passed or pursuing 2nd year of B.Ed or pursuing 2nd year of L.T. or pursuing final year of B.S.C.Ed or pursuing final year of B.ELED.
The exam will be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board. The UP TET is scheduled to be conducted by the Board on 15 October 2017. For the same, candidates have been invited to apply in online mode. Information related to UPTET such as eligibility criteria, examination fees, syllabus, exam pattern, duration of exam and other such conditions have been made available on the official website of the NCTE, Lucknow at upbasiceduboard.gov.in.
The advertisement clearly lays out the guidelines that other than the online medium, any other medium for submitting the UP TET 2017 Application Form will not be acceptable. Further details of entrance exam will be conveyed to the general audience using journals and board’s website upbasiceduboard.gov.in.
On the same website, information for Online Registration and to pay the examination fee, a State Bank of India’s link has been activated. The Online Registration is to start form 25 August 2017. Candidates may be required to present their academic details, communication details, correspondence details, email, mobile number as part of registration. There will also be requirement of uploading digital images of photographs and signature in Jpeg format of not more than 20kb in size.
You must complete all the required spaces honestly and correctly. As you complete one set of information, another set of information will appear. Unless you complete all the levels, the form will remain incomplete. Once, you are sure that you have completed the particulars, you will get your Username and Password. These details will be required each time you want to access your account. To complete the registration, the fee will be paid through E-Challan. Candidates must keep around Rs. 200- Rs. 400 as charges.The starting date to pay the examination fee using E-Challan is 26 August 2017. And the last date to register is 08 September 2017 till 06:00 pm.
If you have registered, but only left with the payment, then you can pay the registration fee by 11 September 2017. The registration completes here. Now the candidates should login to their account and complete the rest of the Application Form. Application form can be filled by 13 September 2017 till 06:00 pm latest.
Although we will advise our readers to take utmost care while filling the application form and it is also advised that you keep your academic certificates close so that spelling mistakes can be avoided. However, if you miss out a few errors, the Board will give you another chance to rectify those errors one last time.
An online window will be activated using which changes in application form will be acceptable. The online Application form correction window will get activated by 15 September 2017 and will be operational only for 5 days i.e 19 September 2017 till 06:00pm.
