The candidates who will apply successfully will get their admit card on April 16, 2018. However, the aspirants of architecture course are concerned because the exam date of UPSEE 2018 UG exam is same as NATA 2018, i.e. April 29, 2018.
NATA is the national level entrance exam for admission to B.Arch and B.Plan courses. Hence, the clash in dates is unfair for the students who wish to appear for both the exams. Now, they will have to choose between the papers, which will be a loss of opportunity.
The students are requesting the authorities to change the dates. However, the exam date for UPSEE has already been changed once because it was clashing with JEE Main and AMU examinations.
UPSEE is a popular examination as it allows candidates from all the states to apply. As per the last year reports total 1,38,000 students qualified the UPSEE exam. In which there were nearly 4711 students for the B.Arch. course.
NATA is also an important exam, as apart from JEE Main Paper 2 it is the only national level medium to get admission in architecture courses. As per the reports last year, 42098 students registered for NATA and the number of appeared students were approx 37246. The students who get selected for the course were 24540 in numbers.
The registration for NATA 2018 is open right now. The candidates can apply until March 02, 2018. In order to apply for the exam, the candidates first need to register with TISION and then apply. The application fee for NATA is Rs. 1800 for unreserved candidates and Rs. 1500 for reserved category candidates.
Both the exams are important for the students and the authorities need to pay attention the matter. What is your take on the matter? Let us know in the comment section below.
