Today i.e. on October 31, 2018, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC CDS (1) 2019 notification at http://www.upsc.gov.in. Along with the notification, the application process of CDS also has been started on the same day. The last date to submit online application form is November 26, 2018. The Combined Defense Services (CDS I) exam will hold on February 03, 2019.
The application form is. available at www.upsconline.nic.in. On the last date of filling the application form candidates can submit their form till 6:00 p.m. The application fee for CDS exam is Rs. 200/- for all unreserved candidates. For Female/SC/ST candidates application fee is exempted. The mode of submitting the application form is online. Whereas the fee can be paid through online with the help of net banking facility of SBI or by depositing cash at SBI branch by depositing cash at SBI branch.
Before filling the application form candidates should first thoroughly read the eligibility criteria. The candidates who will not full fill the eligibility criteria those will be not considered for the further process. The male and female unmarried candidates are eligible to apply. The candidates must hold the citizen of India or Bhutan or Nepal or Tibetan.
Schedule For UPSC CDS (1) 2019
As per the new trend of UPSC, the candidates can withdraw their applications if they are not prepared for the exam. Such window will open at upsc.gov.in on December 03 to 10, 2018. During this period the candidates will able to withdraw their applications by using the registration number.
The candidates who will submit the application form before or till the last date of the submission for those candidates only an e-admit card will be issued by the releasing authority. The UPSC CDS Admit Card will be made available at the UPSC website. Admit card will be issued to candidates before 03 weeks of the commencement of the examination.

VACANCY DETAILS
The UPSC CDS (1) 2019 recruitment will be done for total 417 number of vacancy. The highest vacancies are occupied by the Officer’s Training Academy, Madras i.e. 225 vacancies. A total of 417 vacancies are announced there is the increment of vacancy this year. Last time in the CDS 2 total vacancies were 414. The way to the CDS is through the written examination (OMR Based) followed by the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. The candidates who wish to take admission into Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy have to undergo the written examination of 300 marks. The question related to English, General knowledge, and elementary mathematics.
The entry in the Officers’ Training Academy, is including a written examination of 200 marks whereas the question related to English, General knowledge will be asked.
In both of the exam, the candidates have to bear the deduction of marks because UPSC stated that there will be a penalty for the wrongly marked answer in the exam.
