The Union Public Service Commission released admit card for applicants of National Defence Academy and Naval Academy (II) examination 2017 at upsc.gov.in. It is possible for candidates to download the hall tickets by logging in with registration number or roll number.

Earlier this year, online application form was open between June 7 to June 30, 2017. Shortly after that, the Commission had released a list of candidates with fictitious payments. Candidates could make appeal against rejection within 10 days of the notification.

As promised by UPSC, admit cards of the NDA & NA examination have been made available well in advance to the exam date. It can be downloaded online here through candidate login. If there is any error in the e-admission certificate then it should be immediately brought to the notice of the commission. Whenever any communication has to be done with UPSC, one must always mention their name, roll number, registration id, name and year of examination.

It is the responsibility of the applicant (who is appearing in UPSC NDA exam) to take care of the admit card. What makes this document extremely important is that it contains exam center details, and that without it, one cannot take the test.

Candidates must bring the officially issued admit card to the examination hall. It is further instructed to keep it safely until declaration of result as it may be required during services selection board interview.

An important point given in important instructions of admit card download page is that candidates need to report 20 minutes before scheduled commencement of exam. Also one must go to that center only which is assigned. Rules of examination are available on UPSC website.

Among things which are not allowed at center include mobile phones, calculators, gadgets. A black ball point pen should be taken to mark answers in the OMR answer sheet. A photo ID proof is also important for exam, especially if photograph in admit card is not clear. Aadhar card, driving licence, passport, voter i card and two passport size photographs one for each session for appearing in the examination with an undertaking is needed in such cases. Take a printout of instructions before downloading hall ticket.

If candidate has forgotten the RID, then it can be retrieved with name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth. To do that one needs to click on forgot RID option on the e-admission certificate issuance page on UPSC website.

The NDA and NA examination is a widely popular exam. It can be taken after class 12 to get admission in National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. A prestigious position to be in, competition is equally tough as lakhs of aspirants compete for merely 390 vacancies. The NDA has 335 vacancies which is divided as 208 for army, 55 for navy, and 72 for air force. The NA, under 10+2 cadet entry scheme has 55 vacancies. In the written exam, there are two test papers. The first test paper is on mathematics which is of 300 marks. The second paper is general ability test which is of 600 marks.
