Today, October 12, 2021, is the last date to register for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Engineering Service (prelimiary) Examination (ESE) 2022. Interested candidates can still apply for this recruitment exam latest by 6:00 pm on the official website upsc.gov.in.
As per official information, the commission will disable the UPSC ESE 2022 application link today, after 6:00 pm. Hence, candidates have only a few hours left to complete the registration formalities. From October 10 to 26, 2021, 6:00 pm, candidates will be able to withdraw their candidature on the official portal. So, those who have already applied for the exam but, are not willing to give the exam can withdraw their applications during the period.
The UPSC ESE 2022 Notification also specified that the “Pay by Cash” option will be disabled a day before registration deadline i.e., October 11, 2021, 11:59 pm.However, those who have already generated the pay-in-slip will be permitted to pay the application fee at the nearest SBI branch. Besides this, online payment option are still available to pay the fee before the deadline.
The exam is all set to be conducted on February 20, 2022. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 247 vacancies are expected to fill-up with a few seats applicable only for reserved categories. Candidates have to clear all three stages of the recruitment drive i.e., Preliminary, Mains and Interview/Personality Test stage to be get inducted.
The UPSC ESE 2022 recruitment drive comprises of four Engineering wings, namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering. While filling the application form, candidates are instructed to carefully select their interested Engineering stream as well as choice of centre. Those who have applied for the exam are advised to refrain from filling and and submitting the application form again. If multiple forms are found associated with a single candidate, form with the higher Registration ID (RID) will be accepted by UPSC. While submitting multiple applications is not wrong, candidates must ensure to fill them completely to get accepted by authorities. It has been abundantly made clear that incomplete or incorrect applications will be summarily rejected by the commission.
After the concludion of UPSC ESE 2022 registration, the only thing left to do is prepare for the recruitment exam and wait for the admit cards. As per the official notification, admit cards will be issued three weeks prior to the examination. Since the exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 20, 2022, admit cards are likely to release on January 30 or 31, 2022. Once released, registered candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official website icai.org.
