Today i.e. February 28, 2019, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the IES Result 2019. The result has been declared at the official website i.e upsc.gov.in. The result has been declared for the preliminary examination which was held on January 06, 2019. The result is in the form of pdf hence the candidates are not required to enter the login credentials for checking the result. The result is containing the roll number of the qualified candidates. Total 4051 candidates have been shortlisted for the main examination.

The qualifiers of the prelims examination will be called for the main examination and those will be supposed to fill up the detailed application form (DAF). The candidates who will submit the online DAF before or till the last date those form will be only considered. In the DAF candidates will have to upload the documents namely; age certificate, educational & qualification certificate, caste certificate, certificate in support of claim for age/ fee concession (if applicable). The DAF will be made available at the official website.
The IES Admit Card 2019 for the main examination will be issued to those candidates who will submit the DAF on time. The IES Admit Card 2019 for the main exam will be released 3 weeks before the commencement of the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2019. The main examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 30, 2019. Candidates will be able to fetch the e-admit card by using online mode. Call Letter will be not sent by E-mail or post.
In the main examination will be the conventional type and will contain two paper i.e. paper 1 and paper 2. The main examination will consist of total 600 marks which mean each paper (paper 1 and 2) will consist of 300 marks. There are 4 categories i.e. category I (civil engineering), category II (mechanical engineering), category III (electrical engineering), and category IV (electronics and telecommunication engineering) and on the basis of the categories paper subject has been decided.
The candidates who will scores minimum qualifying scores in the main examination those will be shortlisted for appearing in the IES 2019 final round that personality test. The stage III (personality test) will consist of total 200 marks. The marks obtained by the candidates in stage I, stage II, and stage III would determine the candidates final ranking. The candidates who will qualify the final round those will be allotted various services. The allotment will be made on the basis of the candidate’s rank and choice expressed by them for various services/posts.
