The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Combined Defence Services Examination (II) – 2019 (including SSC women (Non-technical) course). The application form has been released on June 12, 2019, at upsc.gov.in. The CDS 2 online application must be submitted before 08 July 2019 up to 6:00 PM. Aspirants can also withdraw their CDS 2 Application Form 2019 from 15 – 22 July 2019 till 6.00 PM.
Aspirants applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. There are two parts of the CDS 2 2019 registration. In Part 1 of the registration, candidates need to select to apply for any of the listed examinations. The Part-I Registration process is further divided into 4(four) pages in which the candidates have to fill in the information, particulars and details asked for such as Personal information, age relaxation, etc. Once the Part 1 registration is completed, a Registration ID is displayed on the screen.
The Part-II registration consists of three steps – Fee payment, selecting the exam center, uploading of photo and signature. To submit the UPSC CDS 2 2019 application form, candidates (except Female/SC/ST candidates) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card. The images are to be uploaded in .jpg format of size not exceeding 300 KB each and must not be less than 20 KB in size for the photograph and signature.
The eligible candidates will be issued the CDS 2 2019 Admit Card, at least 03 weeks before the commencement of the examination. UPSC is conducting the exam for Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2019 in offline mode on September 08, 2019.
There are 100 number of vacancies in Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, 45 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, 32 vacancies in Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) 32 Training Course, 225 number of vacancies in Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) and 15 vacancies in Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, the question paper will consist of MCQ type questions. The paper will be divided into three (03) sections – English, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics. Each section will be of 02 hours and consist of 100 MCQ type questions.
For Admission to Officers’ Training Academy, there will be questions from English and General Knowledge. Both the sections are of 02 hours duration each in which candidates need to solve 100 questions. The question papers (Test Booklets) of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.
