Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) 2019 notification. It released on the official website, upsc.gov.in. The CAPF recruitment is open for 323 Assistant Commandants vacancies, of which 108 for CRPF, 100 are for BSF, 66 for SSB, 28 for CISF, and 21 ITBP. Interested candidates can apply for UPSC CAPF 2019 until May 20, 2019, by 6:00 pm.
UPSC has only invited eligible candidates to apply for the recruitment. An applicant should be a citizen of India and must possess a Bachelor’s degree. The age limit for UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019 is 20 to 25 years, as on August 01, 2019.
To apply for CAPF 2019, the candidates need to visit upsc.gov.in and click on the link on the link for the application form. The form is to be filled in two parts. Candidates first have to fill part 1, in which they need to enter details such as name, gender, date of birth, mother’s name, father’s name, etc. Once all the details have been filled, the candidates can move on to part 2, in which they need to pay the fee amount.
The application fee for recruitment is Rs. 200. However, SC / ST / female candidates are exempted from fee payment. The payment can be done online and offline, via Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / e-challan at SBI.
CAPF written examination 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on August 18, 2019, in 41 cities across India. It will be held in the morning and afternoon shift. Paper I, for General Ability and Intelligence, will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and Paper 2, for General Studies, Essay and Comprehension, will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of written exam, followed by Physical Standards / Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Test and Interview.
Paper 1 will be of 250 marks and the total number of Mark for Paper 2 are 200. In Paper I, questions will be of MCQ type and will be asked from general mental ability, general science, current events of national and international importance, Indian politics and economy, history of India, Indian and world geography. Whereas, in Paper 2, the questions will be descriptive and will be related to English / Hindi writing, comprehension, etc.
The candidates who will qualify the examination by will be called for the PST / PET. The candidate who meets the criteria of medical test and are found fit for this recruitment those will be called for the final round i.e. Interview.
Once all the rounds of recruitment are held, UPSC will release the final merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview / Personality Test and on the basis of the merit, final recruitment will be done.
