State-level entrance exam UPJEE Polytechnic 2018 is all set to take place in coming April. Scheduled on 22 April 2018, this exam will be for candidates seeking admission to diploma and post diploma courses in polytechnics in Uttar Pradesh. Exam organizers are Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh.
Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh hereby informs the exam date of UPJEE Polytechnic 2018, also called as JEECUP 2018. Council published a notification in online mode. Notification is available on jeecup.org. It is dated 13 Oct 2017. This is indeed a significant news for students seeking admission to Polytechnics in Uttar Pradesh for academic session 2018-2019.
This is to notify that date of exam is 22 April 2018. Moreover, there will be two sessions on that day which are morning and afternoon. First session timings shall be 9 am to 12 noon. Whereas second session timings are 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. UPJEE Polytechnic 2018 is being organized for the purpose of admission to state / funded / private polytechnics. It is gateway for admission to Diploma / Post Diploma programs. Examination centres shall be in different districts of state. Application form is likely to be available from December.
There are around 130 government run Polytechnics in Uttar Pradesh. Aided polytechnics are 19 overall. In addition there are 220 Private Diploma level polytechnics. Getting admission into any requires appearing in UPJEE Polytechnic. Syllabus of exam depends upon courses for which one competes. For instance, those who will appear in exam for admission to Engineering & Technology Diploma will get question paper containing questions on Maths, Physics, Chemistry subjects. Likewise Post Graduate Diploma course exam comprises of questions on English comprehension, Numerical ability, Reasoning, General intelligence, General awareness. By the same token there are around 16 different paper types.
On basis of UPJEE Polytechnic 2018, candidates will be called for counselling. Seat allotment depends upon state open rank and number of seats. Reservation for Polytechnic admission are as per existing state rules. Pre-revised course fee is Rs 10370, Rs 19000, Rs 21000, Rs 30000, Rs 21500 for Government, Aided, Delf-Finance, Private colleges Dip in Pharmacy / HM / other 3-year duration courses, Private colleges 1 or 2 yr courses.
Norm regarding domicile is that candidates either whose parents are domicile of UP, or he/she has passed QE from UP, or any parent is employee of Central Govt posted in UP is a domicile of UP. Other than them, one is treated as outside UP candidate. A seat is allotted to candidate from outside UP only when there is no candidate left from UP.
