UP Lekhpal 2022

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSC) has released the official notification for the Lekhpal Main examination 2022. Candidates have been given time up to January 28, 2022 to submit the online application forms. However, throughout the official advertisement available on upsssc.gov.in, it has been mentioned that the shortlisting will be done on the basis of the Preliminary Eligibility Score or PET. Hence, those candidates who have appeared for PET 2021 can apply for UP Lekhpal 2022.

Candidate must have appeared in PET 2021 for UPSSSC Lekhpal 2022 – What does this mean?

This means that only those candidates who appeared for UPSSSC PET 2021 can now apply for UP Lekhpal 2022. Candidates must have appeared and also received the scorecards. Only they are now eligible to apply for UP Lekhpal recruitment 2022.

If a candidate did not appear in UPSSSC PET 2021, what should he/she do?

Unfortunately, the UPSSSC Lekhpal 2022 notification clearly says that candidate must hold PET scorecard in order to be eligible for this lekhpal vacancy. Therefore those who did not appear in PET are not eligible. They may appear in next PET exam and then apply for next Lekhpal vacancy.

What is UPSSSC PET?

PET stands for Preliminary Eligibility Test. The UPSSSC PET 2021 exam was held on August 24, 2021, and its result was announced on October 28, 2021. The result of PET will be valid for 1 year.

UPSSSC PET is a common exam that acts as first round of selection for different posts that are filled by UPSSSC. Now, based on this score, all sorts of recruitment under the Commission will be done. The vacancies, especially Group C, are usually filled using the PET score. In other words, the PET is a pre exam that is conducted beforehand. Various recruitments are done using the score secured by the candidates.

The processing fee for submitting the application form is Rs 25.

The minimum eligibility criteria is that the applying candidate must have passed the matric exam from a recognized board. In terms of age limit, the minimum age requirement is 18 years while the upper limit is 40 years. Candidates who will ultimately be selected are going to get a salary between Rs 5,200 to Rs 20,200.
