UPMSP was set up in the year 1921 as an autonomous examinations body for classes 10 and 12 exam.

Results verification can also be done online. Students can register to verify their high school result or high school compartment result or intermediate result at up.nic.in. However, if they come across any discrepancy in result they must contact the Board of High School and Intermediate Education U.P., Allahabad to get clarification.

Board exams in UP were delayed this year due to elections. Last year exam was held before CBSE and ICSE board and result was announced in the month of May. This time results are coming after CBSE and ICSE result.

Answer sheets of 90% and above scorers to be re-evaluated

UP Board has implemented a change this year. They are re-checking papers of students scoring above 90% marks.

This is being done to avoid cheating scandals such as that of other states. Double scrutiny will prevent fraudsters from getting away.

An answer sheet that gets 63 marks out of 70 (90%) or above will be rechecked by centre deputy chief examiner who will also put his own comments on copies before marks are accepted as final.

Steps to prevent cheating

UP Government had also decided to conduct videography of test centres to prevent mass cheating.

A year earlier, the government had launched a mobile app that recorded student attendance. It’s purpose is to make sure attendance is genuine.

Road after declaration of UP Board Result 2017

It is a worrisome wait for 6 million students. Concerns of what to do after result are addressed by education counsellors. One advice that students should heed to, is to decide future road after looking at available options. Make an informed decision. Think of what you really want to do in the future, and then decide. If you have just cleared class 10 exam and have to decide between arts, science, and commerce; you must ask yourself: what do I really want to do?
