The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) had released the registration form for UP board exam 2021. The last date to submit the registration form was October 16, 2020. Even though the deadline to complete and submit the registration form was extended thrice, yet the number of students enrolled for 10th and 12th is still less than last year. This year, a total of 55,74,071 students have registered to appear UP board 10th and 12th exam 2021.
As per the media reports, till date 30,03,471 students have registered for high school and 25,70,600 students for intermediate. As per the statistics released by UP board, 38,934 students filled more 10th and 12th forms due to the extension of the deadline, hence, public representatives and the school principal wrote a letter requesting the board to consider extending the deadline for registration form so that the students do not miss out on the exam.
The number of students registered for UP board examination this year is very less compared to previous year. It is quite evident that every year the number of registrations decrease. In the year 2020, the number of registration decreased by around 2 lakh as compared to 2019 board exams further in which a whopping 8 lakh less registrations were recorded as compared to 2018.
Due to strict measures implemented in the year 2017 to check mass copying, it was reported that 5, 35,494 students, including 1, 32,475 class 12 students and 4, 03,019 class 10 students, left the exams midway. Earlier, UP Board secretary Neena Srivastava commenting for the reason for decrease in registration said that In light of the state government and UP Board’s determination to ensure a cheating free exams, many candidates hoping to clear the exams by use of unfair means decided not to register for the exams. This could be the very possible reason for the fall in board exam registrations witnessed in past few years.
UP Board will now soon release class 10th (high school) and class 12th (intermediate) date sheet 2021 online at its official website. The board exams are generally conducted in the month of February and March and the datesheet is released by the last week of October.
