National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the UGC NET Dec 2018 exam from December 18 to 22, 2018. This is the first time when NTA is conducting the exam in place of CBSE. The mode of the exam will be online. The exam will run for 05 days and each day will have the two shifts. Each shift will be containing two papers, the paper I is common for all, while II is specific and chosen by the candidate.
Here are some points which an UGC NET aspirants should know before appearing in the exam.
Bell Time for UGC NET Examination
The morning shift is starting from 09 am to 01 pm. The reporting time for the first shift has been put at 07:30 to 08 30 am, for paper I. The paper I will be of 01 hours, the test will take place between 09:30 to 10:30 am, after the paper I the candidates will be provided the break of 30 minutes. And then paper II will hold from 11 am to 01 pm, will conclude in 02 hours. Similarly, the shift II of each day will be containing both papers.

What to carry on the day of the exam?
A candidate has to carry following things on the day exam: a printed copy of admit card on an A4 sheet, a valid photo identity card any one of
PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrollment No/ Ration Card, PWD certificate for person with disability. Along with this candidate should not forget to carry the passport size photograph which has to be pasted on the attendance sheet on exam center.
Is there any dress code for the exam?
As of now, NTA has not mentioned to the candidates for following any specific dress code. So the candidates have not to worry about it. But still, they should wear something comfortable and that which has fewer pockets. So that the time will not be wasted in checking.
Special Allowance to diabetic candidates
The diabetic candidates are allowed to carry the eatables like sugar tablets, fruits like banana/orange/apples, transparet water bottels etc. But they are not allowed to carry packaged food items.
No need to carry a pen/pencil/paper at exam hall
In the exam hall, the candidates will be provided the pen/pencil and blank paper to do rough work and calculations. They have to specify their name and roll number on the sheet and submit it to the invigilator on the conclusion of the exam.
