The CBSE UGC NET is an important exam in the country. It takes place so as to determine the eligibility of a person for Assistant Professor, JRF; either one or both. One who clears the NET exam gets the UGC NET certificate and with that, the qualifier can apply for jobs as a lecturer in UGC recognized institutions. Those who get Junior Research Fellowship, on the other hand, can pursue research in the subject of post-grad. CBSE UGC NET 2017 exam is on November 5, 2017. Today, on October 17, 2017, CBSE released admit card for UGC NET November 2017 exam.
Download of CBSE UGC NET 2017 Admit Card is in online mode. A candidate is required to visit the website cbsenet.nic.in. From there onwards it is a simple five-step process. The first thing to do on the website is to locate login link. A teal colour button is there for login. The second step is to log in. On clicking that link he will reach a login page. Login requires only application number and password.
The third step in the download admit card process is, as soon as one logs in, the candidate dashboard appears on the screen. This consists of CBSE contact details, candidate profile, an option print confirmation page, and finally the option to download admit card. In the fourth step, one needs to just verify details on screen. A candidate verification for downloading admit card comes up on screen. Again one needs to click download your admit card button. Finally, in the fifth step, the admit card appears on the screen. Use save and print option on the computer.
There are some very important things to keep in mind for the exam. In the first place, a candidate must take black / blue ball point pen to the exam hall. This is necessary to mark answers in OMR sheet. CBSE strictly advises candidates to note that pencils cannot be used to fill OMR sheet. Secondly, do not take bags, electronic items, books, paper, copies, metallic items to the exam centre. The admit card enlists those items which are strictly prohibited for CBSE UGC NET 2017. Moreover even wearing a watch is not allowed. Rest assured, the exam centre has wall clocks to help one keep track of time.
An advice on the CBSE UGC NET 2017 Admit Card states that candidates must try to visit the exam centre a day in advance. That way, they will know exactly how far it is and where it is located. This ultimately helps a candidate reach centre on time on the day of the exam. Reporting time should be strictly adhered to. All are informed that CBSE UGC NET 2017 timings are 9.30 AM – 10.45 AM, 11.15 AM – 12.30 PM, 2 PM – 4.30 PM for paper 1, 2, 3 respectively. The reporting times are 7 AM for paper 1, and 1.30 PM for paper 3. Between the first and second paper, there is an only 30-minute gap and therefore no one is allowed to leave the centre.
The CBSE UGC NET 2017 being a crucial exam for lakhs of aspirants across the country, all measures are taken to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of exam. Candidates will be allowed to take the test booklet with them after the exam. Answer key of CBSE UGC NET Nov 2017 will also be released after the exam.
