National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the UGC NET Admit Card 2019 releasing date. Now, the admit card will be released on May 27, 2019, at the official website i.e. ntanet.nic.in. Previously, it was supposed to be released on May 15, 2019. For downloading the admit card candidates will have to provide application number and date of birth or password on the login page. National Eligibility Test (NET), for eligibility for an assistant professor (AP) and junior research fellowship (JRF), is scheduled to be conducted on 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 June 2019.
The UGC NET 2019 Admit Card will be issued to those candidates only who have submitted the application form on time and whoes forms are accepted. Once after downloading the admit card must check the details mentioned on it. If in case incorrect details are mentioned on it then immediately contact at the helpline number provided on the UGC NTA official website. The candidates can contact between 10:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
Admit card is the key to enter in the examination hall so if candidates do not carry it then those will be not allowed to appear for the examination. Along with the hard copy of the admit card candidates also have to carry passport size photograph and one valid photo ID proof (aadhaar card, pan card, voter id card, passport, etc). It is prohibited to carry any kind of electronic gadget, textual material, mobile, camera, calculators in the examination hall.
Paper I and II duration will be 3 hours. The Paper I will be conducted in the first shift from 9:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m and paper II will be conducted in second shift from 2:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m. No break will be given between paper 1 and paper 2.
UGC NET Examination Schedule
The NET is consist of two paper i.e. paper – I and paper – II. Paper I is common for all but paper II will be based on the choice of the subject (for which the candidates have applied for). In both papers, objective types question will be asked. In paper I total 50 questions of 100 marks and in paper II total 100 questions of 200 marks will be asked. For each correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded.
In order to qualify the examination, the general category applicants have to secure minimum 40% marks and SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Transgender category candidates have to score 30% marks. UGC NET 2019 examination will be conducted in 263 cities.
As per UGC NET 2019 official notice, the result will be declared by July 15, 2019, at the NTA official website. The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two shift. So, for addressing the inequality in difficulty levels of question papers, the scores of the candidates will be calculated by using normalization procedure based on percentile score. Last time 4.5% candidates qualified for eligibility for assistant professor and 0.4% qualified for junior research fellowship (JRF).
