The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted UGC NET 2017 today. The paper 1 was held from 9:30 am to 10:45 am, while Paper 2 and 3 was conducted from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, respectively. Candidates gave all the papers in pen and paper mode and the exam was conducted successfully in all the centres across the nation. Soon after the exam, the coaching institutes released the answer key of CBSE UGC NET 2017.

The UGC NET Answer Key 2017 has been uploaded online. The candidates can avail it from here. It has been released individually for all the three Papers. While downloading the Paper 1 answer key, the candidates must check the Paper Code carefully. Any attempt to calculate the score from answer key for the different code will lead to incorrect estimation of scores.

The answer key for Paper 2 and 3 can be easily checked by ensuring the Subject and the Subject Code. In order to calculate the score with the help of answer key, the candidates need to match the answers submitted in the exam with that mentioned in the answer key. Next, the candidates will have to add 2 marks for each correct answer. For wrong or unattempted questions, the marks are neither to be added or deducted. When all the answers will be cross-checked, the candidates will know their estimated score.

The official answer key will also be released by CBSE. It will be more reliable but will be a provided a little later on. The Board will provide it for all the sets and subjects. The facility to challenge the key will also be given. The candidates will have to access the challenge login and then submit the objection, along with the proof of it. If the objection of the candidates is valid, CBSE will make the required changes in the answer key.

Once the scores are estimated, the candidates should compare it with the cutoff marks. If the estimated score is more than the cutoff then the chances of a candidate qualifying the exam gets higher. The minimum qualifying marks for the examination are 40% for General Category and 35% for the candidates belonging to OBC /SC / ST / PwD category.

The actual result of CBSE UGC NET 2017 is expected to be decelerated by December 2017 end. The result will also be announced online by the Board. Candidates will need Roll Number and Date of Birth. The result will state the score and percentage secured by the candidates in each Paper. Along with that, the qualifying status will also be mentioned on it.
