Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Ltd will open recruitment for Junior Assistant, Junior Personal Officer, and Junior Lineman. TSSPDCL, founded in 2014, covers 14 districts, and caters to the electricity requirement of 8.4 million people.
Last month it was reported that the power distribution company will announce recruitment for 3,010 posts – divided into 2,440 for Junior Lineman (JLM), 500 Lower Division Clerk (LDC), and 70 Junior Personal Officer (JPO).
However today a newspaper report suggests that the number of vacancies will be 2,525. The vacancies distribution is said to be 2,000 for JLM, 500 for JAO (jr assistant communication computer officer), and 25 replacement for JPO.
The report further suggests that there are two possible schedules for the recruitment.
First possibility is that TSSPDCL Junior Assistant Notification 2019 will be published on August 3. Online application form will be available for JLM from August 6, for JPO from August 14, and for JA from August 21.
Another tentative schedule is that the notification will be released on August 23. Then in that case the online application form will be available for JLM from August 26, for JPO from August 27, and for JA from August 28.
There will be written examinations for the recruitment processes. For the same reported exam dates are October 13 for JPO (in the morning) and JLM (in the afternoon), and on October 20 morning for JA.
Cities where TSSPDCL has its network are Hyderabad, Jogulamba Gadwal, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Medchal, Nagarkarnool, Nalgonda, SangaReddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Vikarabad and Rangareddy, Wanaparthy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri.
Reservation to local candidates
The High Court was approached earlier this year to oppose 90% allocation of posts for local quota in TRANSCO junior lineman posts.
In TSSPDCL recruitment, reservation of local vacancies shall be as per rules and regulations of the organization. Definition for local candidate will be as per “AP Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulations of Direct Recruitment) order, 1975 (G.O.P.No.674, G.A (SPF-A) Dept., Dtd. 20.10.1975)”.
As per it, a candidate is a local candidate for the purpose of direct recruitment to any post in relation to that local areas, if he/she studied in an educational institution for at least 4 consecutive academic years prior to and including the year in which he/she appeared for SSC or exam. If however, the candidate did not study in any educational institution and obtained SSC or its equivalent qualification or Open School, Private Study basis, he / she has to produce residential certificate issued by the Tahsildar.
