The Department of School Education, Telangana, is expected to declare the result of state Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-2017 tomorrow, on August 05, 2017. The date for the announcement of result is tentative, as official exam conducting body has not confirmed it. To qualify the TET, the candidates will have to score more than the pre-determined cutoff marks. The cutoff for General Category is 60%, and for the BC category, it is 50%. However, for the SC/ST/PwD category, the same is 40%.

As per the initial notice, the result of Telangana TET was supposed to be announced on July 29, 2017. However, the conducting body did not disclose the result on the due date. The final answer key was released after analyzing all the challenges, submitted against the provisional TS TET Answer Key. The result of the exam will now be declared on the basis of the final key.

TS TET 2017 was held on July 23, 2017. It was conducted in 31 centers across the state. The purpose of the examination is to certify eligibility to those who wish to pursue teaching. The Paper I of the examination is for those candidates who wish to teach class 1 to 5. However, if the candidates aim to teach until class 8, the candidates need to qualify Paper II as well.
