TS POLYCET (Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) is a state-level examination for candidates seeking admission to the diploma courses in Engineering. The online application for the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) has already been released on polycetts.nic.in on May 24, 2021. The last date to fill the application form without a late fine is June 11, 2021.
Candidates who wish to apply for TS POLYCET have to first visit the official website of TS POLYCET i.e polycetts.nic.in. Next, they have to click on the File Application link available on the top of the homepage. Upon clicking it, the application form will open and candidates have to enter their details i.e. Class 10th Board name, Hall Ticket number of class 10th, Candidate’s DOB, Passing or Appearing status and candidate’s aadhaar number.
Post this, the candidates have to click on the show the application form and enter all the other personal information which includes, gender, parent’s name, domicile, address etc. In the next step, the candidates have to upload their scanned photo and signature with a size limit of less than 50kb. The next step includes paying the application fee of Rs 400 for General Candidates and Rs 250 for the SC/ST candidates via any mode of online payment i.e. Debit/Credit card or Netbanking.
However, the candidate can apply with a late fine of Rs. 100 till June 13, 2021, and withTatkal online registration by June 15, 2021, with a late fine of Rs. 300. The candidates who are willing to get a Certificate of Diploma in any branch of engineering can fill in the online application before the last date.
The candidates who are a permanent domicile of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply for the same with no minimum or maximum age limit defined for any category. The student must have passed SSC or Class 10th exam with the State Board of Telangana or any other board with 35% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as one of the subjects. The candidates who are appearing in the SSC exams are also eligible to apply for the POLYCET 2021.
The exam will be held in an offline manner for 02 hours and 30 minutes. The questions in the POLYCET exam are asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the candidates who opt for Diploma in Engineering. The candidates opting to take admission in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fishery Diploma courses that PJTSAU & PVNRTVU offers, have to answer the questions of Biology.Total of 150 questions will be asked in the POLYCET exam where 60 questions will be from Mathematics and 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Every correct answer fetches one mark and there is no negative marking in the exam.
As per the reports, a total number of 1794 candidates participated in the TS POLYCET examination held in the year 2020. The exam was held at seven designated examination centres and out of the total participant count 1140 were male and 654 were female candidates.
