Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) is starting the Telangana State Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TS PECET) registration on February 25, 2019. Interested candidates from Telangana will able to apply online for the examination at pecet.tsche.ac.in. This year the exam is scheduled to take place on May 15, 2019, and will be conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University Nalgonda on behalf of TSCHE.
The notification for the session 2019 was released on 18 February by the exam convenor Prof. V Satyanarayana. In the notification, the examination fee is also mentioned by the exam conducting body. For the new academic year, the exam fee is Rs 400/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs 800/- for others.
In order to apply for TS PECET 2019, candidates must be a resident of Telangana. It is a state level exaimation to pursue B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed from the institutes of Telangana. Candidates taking admission to these courses must fulfill the eligibility criteria as per the guidelines by the exam conducting body. For B.P.Ed, candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 19 years of age. For D.P.Ed, students must have passed intermediate from an institute recognized by Government of Telangana State.
The application form for TS PECET 2019 releases only in online mode. Candidates need to enter the correct details and communication details to avoid any hassle later. Also, keep the fee receipt safe until the completion of the application process. After the payment of the fee, test takers have to fill the application form and submit it to get the admit card.
Applicants getting the admit card have to appear for Physical Efficiency Test and Skill Test in Games. For the former test, both men and women need to take the test of 400 marks. It includes the 100-meter run, putting the shot, 800/400 meter run, and Long/ High Jump. The weight-age of each round is 100 marks. For the Skill Test, candidates have to choose one sport and they will be tested on the basis of that game only. This round has a weight-age of 100 marks.
The final admission to the course takes place on the basis of rank card releases by the exam conducting body. The ranking is given to candidates as per the marks achieved in the entrance rounds. Following that, counseling takes place according to rank. TSCHE conducts online web-based counselling. In which candidates can select their choice of colleges according to the cut-off set by the institutes.
