The Telangana State Government has cancelled the TS Inter 2021 exams i.e. Class 12 board exams of the state education board, as per latest reports. More than 4.5 lakh students were registered with the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education to appear in the Inter exams this year. However, the official notice is expected to release soon on the website tsbie.cgg.gov.in along with details of evaluation criteria.
NSUI Telangana State President, Balmoor Venkat Narsing Rao, tweeted earlier that the state government has cancelled the board exam succumbing to pressure created by the TSNSUI. As per reports, a Cabinet meeting was held yesterday although a decision regarding the exam could not be taken. The final decision came today i.e. on Wednesday leading to confusion as some reported that the exam has been cancelled while other reported that a decision could not be taken.
Major media platforms have reported today that the Telangana state government has cancelled the Inter board exams this year following in the same footsteps of the Central Board of Secondary Education. Furthermore, as per statements from the state education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, a committee has been constituted to look after the matter. The committee has been entrusted to decide on the modalities of the exam. As per reports, the Class 12 marks will be evaluated on the basis of Class 11 marks.
Earlier, the Class 12 exams in Telangana State this year were scheduled to be held in the month of May. The exams were scheduled to start from May 01 and continue till May 19, 2021. Owing to the surge in COVID-19 cases, the state government was quick to postpone the exams in April 2021, as per latest reports. Now that the exam has been cancelled, it is being reported that the official notification regarding the cancellation and further modalities of evaluation of Class 12 exams will be released soon on the official website tsbie.cgg.gov.in.
While the expert committee decides on the final modalities of the Class 12 exam, it may be noted that the government has already cancelled the Class 11 exams this year. Candidates may take into note that the Inter Practical exams 2021 has also been cancelled. Candidates are advised to remain vigilant on the official website for further updates of the exam.
