The Telangana State Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2020 is scheduled to be conducted from September 9, 2020, onwards. The examination for engineering is going to held from September 9 to 11 and on September 14, 2020. The agricultural entrance test will be conducted on September 28 and 29, 2020. This entrance exam is conducted every year for candidates who wish to pursue engineering and agricultural/medical courses in various colleges in the state of Telangana.
The TS EAMCET Admit card for engineering is releasing today, i.e September 7, 2020, whereas the agricultural and medical admit card downloading facility will commence from September 21 to 25, 2020. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of the conducting body eamcet.tsche.ac.in. To download the admit card, candidates have to click on the “TS EAMCET 2020 Admit Card” option. Then, they have to fill in the necessary details like registration number, qualifying exam hall ticket number and date of birth. After submitting these details, candidates can access their hall ticket page and print a copy of the same.
Candidates are instructed to carry the admit card mandatorily with them, in order to get the entry to the examination centre. Besides, admit card, they also have to carry certain documents to the exam hall. These include a printout of online application form with a recent coloured photo affixed to it, valid ID proof like Aadhaar card, passport, Driving License, etc and an attested copy of caste certificate (if applicable). Candidates also have to bring with them a ballpoint pen (black or blue), mask, flexible gloves, hand sanitizer (50 ml) and a transparent water bottle.
The entrance exam is conducted in a computer-based format. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, certain COVID specific guidelines issued by the government have to be followed by candidates at the exam centre. Candidates are required to maintain social distancing from the beginning of the entry point up to the exit point. Moreover, they must follow directions that the representatives give and stand in circles drawn at the exam centre. This will ensure that the candidates’ safety and health are not compromised.
The temperature of candidates will be checked with the help of thermometer guns before allowing entry to them. Those candidates who are experiencing COVID like symptoms such as cough, cold, fever, sneezing etc and have an elevated temperature must inform the authorities to avail special isolation arrangements. Rest of the candidates can sit in regular classrooms as per their seating arrangement. This year, roll numbers of candidates shall not be displayed outside the classrooms. Instead, students will be informed about the seating arrangement beforehand. At the registration desk, candidates are also expected to sanitize their hands using the sanitizer placed nearby. Parents and students must also make sure to not form large crowds outside the examination and strictly abide by all the specified safety precautions.
