There is no doubt that targeting MBA colleges that are located near metro cities can enhance your chances of employability. To make it even more convenient for the aspirants, India Today has released a list of zone-wise top 5 MBA colleges in India.
Here are the zone-wise MBA colleges in the four regions – north, south east and west.
In the northern region: Management Development Institute, Gurugram has ranked 1 out of 5 in the northern region of the country. Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi in the national capital, New Delhi has acquired rank 2 in the northern zone. Another B-school in New Delhi, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, has been ranked third in the zone. Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and International Management Institute, New Delhi have acquired ranks 4 and 5 respectively in the northern region of the country.
In the western region: Three institutes from the financial capital, Mumbai have made it to the top 5 list of B-schools in the western zone. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad has secured rank 1 in the western zone whereas S.P. Jain Institute of Management & research, Mumbai has secured rank 2. Indian Institute of Management, Indore is ranked 3 in the western part of the country. SVKM’s NMIMS School of Business Management, Mumbai as well as National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai have ranked 4 and 5, respectively in the western zone.
In the eastern region: Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, situated in Kolkata, has acquired rank 1 in the eastern zone of the country. Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur has ranked 2 in the zone. Indian Institute of Management, Shillong and Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur have ranked 3 and 4 in the eastern part of the country. Rank 5 has been given to Xavier Institute of Management, Xavier University, Bhubaneshwar.
In the southern region: Indian institutes of Management (IIMs) have dominated the rankings in all four regions in the country, especially in the South. In the southern region, IIM Bangalore secured rank 1 whereas IIM Kozhikode has secured ranked 2. IIM Tiruchirappalli ranked 3 in the southern region. Great lakes Institute of Management, situated in Chennai, has ranked 4 whereas T.A. Pai Management institute, Manipal has secured rank 5 in the southern zone.
The list was released after a comprehensive survey was conducted by a Delhi-based firm dedicated to market research, Marketing & Development Research Associates (MDRA). MDRA conducted this extensive survey keeping in mind various parameters and eligibility criteria for business schools.
