The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the phase II counselling schedule for the combined civil services examination (group IV) for 2018-19 and 2019-20. The certificate verification and counselling for the students whose registration numbers appear in the list will take place from October 11 to 12, 2021 at the TNPSC Office, Chennai. However, candidates will also receive individual intimation regarding the date and time of counselling via the Commission’s website, SMS and email only.

Under the important links category on the left-hand side of the screen, click on ‘Counselling/Selection’. A new page will open where one has to click on ’28.09.21 JA PHASE-II COUNS’ against the combined civil services examination in group IV (2018-20) post. The PDF will open. The various posts that are available under TNPSC group IV include Junior Assistant, Field Surveyor and Village Administrative Officer. The notification reads that the admission of candidates to certificate verification and counselling is purely provisional. It is subjected to verification and acceptance of the documents as per the claims made during online application. If any of the claims made by the candidate turns out to be false or incorrect, then their certificate verification will be cancelled and they will not be allowed to attend the counselling. In case a candidate fails to produce the required certificates, then their provisional admission to counselling will stand cancelled.
Once the verification of the original certificates is complete, eligible candidates will be admitted to counselling on the same day itself. However, candidates failing to attend the certificate verification and counselling as per the scheduled date and time are not going to be considered for the next selection stage. Candidates, whose register numbers fail to appear in the list, are not admitted to original certificate verification and counselling. The written examination was held on September 01, 2019. Please note that the candidates who are called for original certificate verification and counselling are not guaranteed selection. The selection will be based on proper verification.
Through TNPSC group IV recruitment, a total of 209 vacancies are going to be filled. The admission of candidates is again subject to the outcome of OAs and WPs (if any) pending on the files of the High Court, Madras or Madurai bench of the Madras High Court. It is also subject to the decision of the apex court of India with regard to this particular recruitment.
