TNPSC Group 2

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will soon release the group 2 notification 2019-2020. However before that, the commission has launched a survey questionnaire to get the inputs of candidates on the new exam pattern and syllabus.

TNPSC has introduced certain changes to the group 2 and 2A syllabus and exam pattern. New syllabus, and model question paper, both have been published at tnpsc.gov.in to inform aspirants of the same. As per reports, candidates who had been preparing as per the old pattern have expressed their disagreement with changes at this point.

To get their opinion, the commission has published a questionnaire at tnpsc.gov.in, by the name of group II IIA questionnaire, link for which leads to dev.tnpscexams.in/public/survey. One can login with OTR login id and password to answer the questions asked.

As per reports, the questions are like this.

The first 9 questions are to get to know the candidate:

Question 1 is “Which area do you belong to?”.

Then question 2 is “Your Educational Qualification”.

Question 3 is “Category of Your UG Degree”.

Question 4 reads “Under which board of examination have you completed your Standard 10?”

Thereafter question 5 is “Under which board of examination have you completed your Standard 12?”

Then question 6 is “Have you studied TAMIL as one of the Subjects in SSLC / HSC / Degree?”

Question 7 says “Have you studied English as one of the Subjects in SSLC / HSC / Degree?”

Question 8 is “Whether your medium of instruction was Tamil in your School / College?”

Continuing with it, question 9 is “If yes, in which levels?”

Then next 3 questions get to know their experience with past TNPSC exams.

Question 10 that one has to answer is “Have you ever appeared in any of the examinations conducted by TNPSC?”

After which question 11 asks “How many times have you appeared in the examinations conducted by TNPSC?”

Then question 12 seeks to know “How many times have you appeared in the following recruitments conducted by TNPSC?”

After that, the next question is specific to language exams. Question 13 says “With regard to the Language Paper, in the earlier Examinations you have written, which language have you chosen?”

Again some questions about the candidate’s background are asked, a mix of personal records and experience with TNPSC.

Question 14 asks “What is your Employment Status?”

Then question 15 asks “Have you ever appeared in the examination(s) conducted by recruitment agencies other than TNPSC?”

Question 16 says “If yes, which of the following examinations have you appeared for?”

The next question asks for direct feedback about the TNPSC Group 2 preliminary exam.

Question 17 reads “In your opinion, regarding the newly introduced Scheme of Examination, which one of the options given below is agreeable to you for Combined Group-II & II A Preliminary Examinations.”

In this question, candidate gets two options.
