Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) declared the result of Combined Civil Services Examination I (group I services) mains exam today, on December 9, 2019. The exam had been held on July 12, 13, and 14, 2019, in Chennai.
The commission has published a pdf file containing register (registration) numbers of the candidates who have been shortlisted for interviews aka oral test on the basis of their performance in mains. A total of 364 candidates are in this list, and their interviews are hereby being scheduled from December 23 to 31, 2019.
To check the result, candidates need to visit tnpsc.gov.in and click “Combined Civil Services Examination-I (Group-I Services) – MWE Results” under the what’s new section. At the moment, only details of candidates shortlisted for interview are available; marks scored or cut offs have not been disclosed.
TNPSC group 1 recruitment 2019 regarding oral test will be held at the office of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, TNPSC Road, Chennai-600 003. All those who have been shortlisted should attend the same with their original certificates in support of the claims made by them in their online applications. For exact date, time, and other details of the process, candidates need to check the website tnpsc.gov.in and their registered mobile number for sms from time time.
Interviews and certificate verification mark the last stage of this recruitment. The commission will aim to fill 139 vacancies at the end of the process, subject to finding suitable candidates.
There are 27 vacancies of deputy collector, 56 of deputy superintendent of police, 11 assistant commissioner, 13 deputy registrar of cooperative societies, 7 district registrar, 15 assistant director of rural development, 8 district employment officers, and 2 district officer in fire and rescue services.
This recruitment process was started on January 1, 2019. Online application forms were accepted until January 31, 2019. The preliminary exam was held on March 3, 2019. After the mains written exam was conducted, it was expected that the result of the same will be out in January 2020, however the commission has declared the same sooner than expected.
The TNPSC group 1 notification had also said “Applicants should upload / submit the required documents for proof in respect of all the claims made in the application with reference to this notification as and when called for. If the required certificate is not uploaded or submitted by the applicant within the stipulated time, his / her application will be rejected”.
While the group 1 recruitment comes to a close, government job aspirants eagerly await the TNPSC group 2 notification. Whereas the commission has expressed that there will be significant changes in the process for group 2 vacancy recruitment, before finalizing the details and putting them in a notification, a survey is being conducted; for the same, the commission has uploaded a group 2 questionnaire at tnpsc.gov.in. For group 2, revised syllabus and scheme of exam is also already available.
