Tamil Nadu Forest Uniformed Services Recruitment Committee, TNFUSRC had released notification for direct recruitment of forest guard and forest guard with driving license last month, however the online application form for the same is yet to release. Eligible candidates can apply in an online mode against the total vacancies of 320 from the scheduled date. It is confirmed that the committee will start the application form procedure from the 3rd week of January 2020 and will close it in the first week of February 2020. For the selection procedure, a written examination will be conducted in March 2020.
Out of the total vacancies, there are 227 vacancies for the forest guard post and 93 vacancies for forest guard with driving license post, for which TNFUSRC will start the recruitment process.
As per the reservation policy, the committee has reservation of seats for the Backward Class (BC), Backward Class Muslim (BCM), Most Backward Class (MBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar (SC-A) and Scheduled Tribe (ST).
Category wise, there are 70 seats for the UR, 60 for BC, 8 for BCM, 46 for MBC, 33 for SC, 7 for SC-A and 3 for ST from the total vacancies of the forest guard. Similarly, for the forest guard with driving license, total seats for UR are 39, 2 for BCM, 26 for MBC, 21 for SC, 4 for SC-A, and 1 for ST.
TNFUSRC requires that to be eligible to apply for the post of a forest guard, one should have cleared the higher secondary and have one of the subject as physics, chemistry, biology, zoology or botany. Similarly for applying to the post of the forest guard with driving license a candidate should have completed +2 and must have a valid driving license issued by the transport authority. Along with it, they must possess 3 years of experience certificate in driving of LMV/HMV. Moreover, knowledge about the general mechanism of automobiles is also mandatory.
Along with educational criteria TNFUSRC has also specified the acceptable age limit bar to apply for the post. For general category and ex-servicemen candidates, the age limit is 21 to 30 years. However, the upper age limit of the SC, ST, SC(A), MBC, BC and BCM can be 35 years.

TNFUSRC recruitment 2019 application form will be made available at the prescribed time on the official website which is forests.tn.gov.in. A candidate needs an active mobile number and email for the registration of the announced posts. For submitting the form, application fee for the SC, ST candidates is Rs. 150 and for all other category candidates, the same is Rs. 300. The fee can be paid via only mode ode through the different payment gateway.
The TNFUSRC selection procedure consists of the online examination, document verification, physical standards and endurance test for selecting the suitable candidates. The selected candidates after the procedure will be paid Rs. 18,200 to Rs. 57,900 by TNFUSRC under level 5 pay matrix.

Its main objective is the augmentation of water resources in forest areas.
