TATA Institute of Social Sciences will be conducting TISSNET 2018 on January 06, 2018. The examination will be held in online mode, across the nation. The purpose of the examination is to grant admission in various M.A courses offered by TISS Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Guwahati, and Tuljapur. However, to be selected, the candidates will also have to pass the Pre-Interview Test and Personal Interview round.

The notification for the exam is yet to be announced. The examination date came to notice through the tender document, issued to invite bids for conducting of the online entrance examination. The document was mainly focused on the conducting of the exam, but in bits and pieces, the information about the TISSNET and TISSBAT was provided.

The document also revealed that the exam will be conducted in 39 cities, which have been put under 4 regions. These regions are Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern. The center will be allocated to the candidates on the basis of choices submitted while filing the application form. However, the allotment will be done by the TISS only. The provision to the center will not be provided.

The application form for TISSNET 2018 will be available online. However, vouching for the social concern, the application form shall also be provided offline. But these offline forms will only be released for the candidates belonging the rural region. This trend is followed by the institute so that the student of rural region is not deprived of admission opportunity because of the due to lack of technological and internet access.

TISSNET 2018 will only be held in computer based mode. The examination will begin at 2:00 pm and shall end on 3:40 pm. In the exam, the questions will be asked from Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, Mathematics, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, and General Awareness. All the question will be of multiple choice type.

The result of TISSNET 2018 will also be announced online, at admissions.tiss.edu. The candidates will be able to check it by submitting the e-mail id and password. The result will disclose the score and the merit of the candidates. However, the merit list will disclose if the candidates have been selected for the admission or not.

Along with the merit list, the Institute will also release a wait list. The wait list will contain the name and details of those candidate, who will qualify the examination. However, will only be called for admission if the seat are left vacant after the conclusion of counselling for the merit list candidates.
