Indian Army has published TGC 129 notification regarding Technical Graduate Course at joinindianarmy.nic.in. TGC 129 (Jul 2019) application form will be available from October 30, 2018 (12 hrs) to November 28, 2018 (12 hours).
Unmarried male engineering graduates who are 20 to 27 years old as on 01 Jul 2019 can seek permanent commission in the Indian Army by applying as per schedule. Final year engineering students can also apply.
TGC 129 notification that has been published on the official website says,
Online applications for TGC-129 (Jul 2019) Course will open on 30 Oct 2018 at 1200 hrs and will be closed on 28 Nov 2018 at 1200 hrs.
Candidates from Civil engineering stream, Architecture engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical / Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Technology / Info Tech / M.Sc Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication / Telecommunication / Electronics and Communication / Satellite Communication, Electronics, Metallurgical, Electronics and Instrumentation / Instrumentation, Micro Electronics and Microwave are eligible. TGC 2019 detailed notification will indicate stream wise vacancies. Last time there were 40 vacancies overall.
Candidates who are selected will get Short Service Commission on probation in rank of Lieutenant from the date of course commencement at IMA. After training, candidates will get permanent commission in Army in the rank of Lieutenant. One year ante date seniority from the date of commission will be granted to Engineering Graduates of TGC Entry.
The complete training is at the expense of the Government. Such candidates who withdraw from the training for any reason shall be liable to refund training cost at the rate of Rs 10247 per week.
Interested candidates need to apply online at http://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in via “Officer Entry Apply / Login” link. First step is to do the Registration, followed by filling online application form under Technical Graduate Course. Candidates need to fill personal information, communication details, education details, details of previous SSB. After submitting the form, candidates can download and print the PDF and take two copies of the form showing roll number and other details.
Candidates will be shortlisted first on the basis of cutoff fixed by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). Shortlisted candidates need to login to the website to select their SSB dates. Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective centre. Shortlisted candidates for TGC 129 will undergo a 2 step selection process, wherein they take part in a 5 day SSB interviews.
There are ten channels to join Indian Army namely TGC, UES, TGC Education, JAG, NDA, 10+2 Tech, IMA, SSC (Non Tech), SSC (Tech), NCC Special. Through these channels, candidates join as Lieutenant in Indian Army, then becoming Captain, Major, Lt Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier, Major General, Lt General, General.
