Today is the last date to register online for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. TANCET 2021 is scheduled to be held on March 20 and 21, 2021 as a state level entrance exam in Tamil Nadu. The Anna University conducts the exam for admission to MCA, MBA, ME/M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan programs. TANCET 2021 registrations started in January 2021. Interested candidates who are yet to register are advised to hurry up as the application form can be submitted only till 05.00 PM in the afternoon today i.e. February 16, 2021. Once the registration window closes, candidates will not get any further opportunity to take the test this year.
How to apply for TANCET 2021?
Candidates intending for admission to PG courses in Management, Computer Application, Engineering/Technology, Architecture and Planning in Tamil Nadu have to register and take the TANCET exam. Since the exam is conducted by the Anna University in Tamil Nadu, therefore, candidates have to apply online at the official website of the University.
The first step is to open the official Anna University website. It is available at tancet.annauniv.edu. At the homepage, candidates have to click on TANCET Registration. Thereafter, new candidates have to click on Register. One must fill-up the form by entering a valid email ID and mobile number besides other information. Candidates have to submit the registration form once done to generate the login credentials i.e. the registered email ID and password. It may be noted that while registering, candidates have to set a password for their account. After clicking Submit, candidates are redirected to the payments page.
On the payments page, one must make the payment of the application fee at first. The fee can be paid online using debit/credit card or internet banking. Once the payment is successful, candidates can log in to fill up the application form. Using the registered email ID and password, candidates can log in to the website of Anna University to fill up the application form. It may be noted that scanned images of latest passport-sized photograph and signature of the candidate must be uploaded as per specifications. Candidates must generate a print out of the submitted application form for future reference and note down/memorize their login details.
TANCET 2021 Application Fee
It may be noted that all unreserved candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 600. This include General category candidates. On the other hand, SC/ST and SCA category candidates are charged a discounted fee of Rs 300 to apply for TANCET 2021. Candidates must note that the fee cannot be paid offline. It must be paid online after filling up the registration form using one of the available online modes i.e. debit/credit card or internet banking.
Image Specifications for TANCET 2021 Application Form
The Anna University has issued certain guidelines regarding upload of images on the TANCET 2021 application form. Candidates have to upload a latest passport-sized photograph and signature on the application form.
Photograph must be between 200 & 300 px in height and 150 to 300 px in width. Image of the signature must be within the height of 60 to 80 px and width of 150 to 200 px. The format of the image files must be in JPEG.
