Swami Sharadhananad College, University of Delhi, is inviting applications for the 85 vacant posts of Assistant Professor. The official notification for the same has recently been released with Advt. No. SSC/DU-60/2020-21/261 on the official website of Swami Sharadhananad College, ss.du.ac.in. Eligible candidates can submit their application within two weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement.
The conducting body has advertised the vacancies of Assistant Professor for the Departments of Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, English, EVS, Geography, Hindi, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Sanskrit and Zoology. The Assistant Professors will be recruited in the Academic Pay scale-10 as per 7th central pay commission.
All the aspirants interested in recruitment are suggested to read the eligibility criteria marked in the advertisement. The minimum qualification to apply for Assistant Professor post is to have a Master’s degree with 55% marks in the concerned subject from an Indian University. Those who have an equivalent degree from Foreign University can also apply for the said posts. Besides the educational qualification, candidates also have to ensure they have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR. Those possessing a PhD degree are exempted from NET in accordance with UGC regulations.
Eligible aspirants can submit their applications by copy-pasting the link available in the notification which is – http://colrec.du.ac.in. This link will direct candidates to the registration form of the recruitment. On successful registration, a confirmation mail is sent to aspirants after which they can proceed to submit their application form. Applicants can apply for more than one post/ department by submitting a separate form and application fee for each post. Moreover, eligible aspirants have to pay an application fee to submit the form for Assistant Professor. Unreserved/ OBC/ EWS category candidates have to pay Rs. 500/-. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PWD category are exempted from the application fee submission. Payment can be paid using the online mode through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
Shortlisting of candidates for the post for the interview based on the scrutiny of the academic score, research publication and teaching experience. This stage of the scrutiny is conducted for 100 marks. Those who obtain a minimum of 60 marks in the scrutiny of eligibility are called for the interview for Assistant Professor. The schedule for the same will be intimated to eligible candidates accordingly. Thereafter, qualifying candidates are appointed as the Assistant Professor at various departments of Swami Sharadhananad College, University of Delhi.
