State CET Cell Maharashtra starts Online Registration for NEET PG Admission 2019; Know Complete Schedule Here

State CET Cell Maharashtra starts Online Registration for NEET PG Admission 2019

The Commissioner, State CET Cell, Mumbai has started the admission process to Post Graduate Degree Courses in Government/Corporation/Unaided Private/Unaided Minority Medical And Dental Colleges (Excluding All India quota seats and In‐service Quota seats) in the academic year 2019‐20. The online registration process for NEET PG Medical / Dental courses has been started on February 25, 2019. The last date to submit the online application for NEET PG Admission is March 05, 2019.

To apply online, the candidates need to visit the official website of State CET Cell at cetcell.mahacet.org. On the homepage of the website, the candidates need to click on the “NEET PGM / PGD 2019” button under Admission for Post Graduate Programmes 2019-20 tab. In the next screen, the candidates need to click on the “New Registration” button. In the online application form, the candidates need to fill in their Personal Details, NEET PG Score details, Candidate’s address details, reservation information, etc.

The candidates also have to choose a center for Document verification at the time of filling in details in the NEET PGM/ PGD 2019 Application Form. The candidates need to pay an amount of Rs.3000/- by online mode only. The aspirants need to fill in details and submit the Application Form before the last date by online mode.

The admission process for the post-graduate (PG) medical and dental courses in Maharashtra have been started almost a month after the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) were declared on January 31, 2019.

The reason for the delay has been stated as due to the lack of clarity in the implementation of reservations for the Maratha and economically weaker section (EWS). The state government is yet to issue guidelines on the two quotas, the state common entrance test (CET) cell decided to begin the candidate registration process so that it can meet the Supreme Court’s April 05 deadline to issue the first list of college allotments.

The State CET Cell will publish the list of shortlisted applicants online on March 06, 2019. The candidates whose name will be included in the list will then be eligible to appear for the Document Verification. The State CET Cell, Maharashtra is conducting the Verification of documents at 12 centers from March 13 to 20, 2019.

The counseling authority then publishes the Common State Merit list at its official website. After the Display of Provisional Merit List, the candidates will be required to Fill Online Preference Form. On the basis of candidate’s performance in NEET PG 2019, preference submitted by the candidate and availability of seats, the State CET cell then declares the list of the selected candidates of the first round of counseling.

NEET PG is a single national level entrance examination which is conducted for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses. Only the score for NEET PG 2019 is going to be considered for admission at the state or institute level, in the State of Maharashtra.
