St Stephens to Start Registration From 6 May; DU Admission 2019 to Start Soon

St Stephens Admission 2019

St. Stephens has notified that the prospectus, application and residence forms for the academic session 2019 are going to release on May 06, 2019. It is going to be released online at ststephens.edu. The registration form is released by online mode.

The application process for St Stephens Admission 2019 is a two-step process, first, the students have to register at the University of Delhi portal and receive a Registration/Form Number. The second step is to visit the College website and fill in the application form and include the Registration/Form Number from Delhi University.

St. Stephens offers admission in various UG and PG programs. UG courses offered are B. A. (Honours) in Economics, English, History, Philosophy, and Sanskrit. B. A. (Programme) with a range of subject combinations from the Humanities. B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics with a range of subject combinations from the Sciences. College also admits students to the following postgraduate (M.A.) courses – Economics, English, History, Mathematics, Operational Research, Philosophy, and Sanskrit.

For all B.A. Honours courses, the B.A. Programme course, and B.Sc Honours Mathematics, students are offered admission on the basis of their Class 12th marks, written exam, and Interview. 85% weightage is given to class 12th marks, 5% to the written exam, and 10% weightage to Interview. Whereas, for all B.Sc Honours courses (except Mathematics) and the B.Sc. Programme course, 85% weightage is given to Class XII marks and 15% weightage to Interview.

For admission to an M.A./M.Sc. course, a candidate must have a recognized Bachelor’s degree. Furthermore, an Interview is conducted to shortlist the candidates for admission.

To register for admission in St. Stephens, candidates need to submit the form by online mode only. NO printed form is sent to the candidates. Application fee per course shall be Rs. 150/- and the Residence application fee shall be Rs. 350/-.

To apply for St. Stephens, firstly sign-up with the DU on their admission portal. Complete the DU application process and pay the DU registration fees. Then, next, obtain a university 9-digit registration number, after which open the College registration section. Enter the DU registration number and the registered e-mail (used in Delhi University portal) in the registration section of the College application form. Please note that you will not be allowed to register on College portal if the Delhi University registration fee is not paid. A verification email will be sent, verify and log in to complete the College application form.

Being a religious minority college, the admission process at St Stephen’s is different. It reserves 50 per cent seats for Christians. It also releases separate cut-offs for students from humanities, science and commerce streams. It has 410 seats across 10 courses. Another DU college, following the same legacy, is Jesus and Mary College. It also follows the same admission procedure.
